Welcome to Fellow Kitty! As a lifelong cat person, my love for these furry companions has been a guiding force in my life since childhood. I’ve always felt a deep connection to cats, and whenever I saw one in need, I was the first to take action, ensuring they received the help they deserved.
At Fellow Kitty, we are a dedicated cat charity committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats while providing essential medical care for those in need. Our mission is to create a compassionate community where every cat gets the medical attention they require and finds a loving forever home.
Through our various programs, we not only provide shelter and care but also focus on educating the public about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering.
I truly believe that every cat deserves a chance at a happy life. I invite you to join us in our efforts to make a difference—whether by adopting, volunteering, or supporting our initiatives. Feline Health Research Program "Hope for Lives"
At FellowKitty, our "Hope for Lives" Feline Health Research Program is a pioneering initiative dedicated to transforming feline healthcare in Sri Lanka. While our mission began with rescuing strays and abandoned cats, the program has expanded to study genetic disorders, chronic illnesses, and complex medical conditions affecting all types of cats. Sadly, many essential, high-grade feline medications are unavailable locally, leaving countless cats without proper treatment. Through this program, we are working to introduce globally approved, A-grade medicines to Sri Lanka and make them accessible. Our long-term goal is to establish a state-of-the-art cat treatment and research center a first of its kind in the country where every cat, from street survivors to beloved companions, receives world-class medical care. This is not just research it’s a promise of healing, innovation, and hope for lives that have long been forgotten.
